I wouldn't just ask you to fill these in without doing so myself. I'm not promising any semblance of great answers, but here you go nonetheless.
We sure are glad that today is the Pet Photo Fails! Blog Hop, hosted by The Cuddlywumps Cat Chronicles. After all, our usual Friday furbaby star, the ever elusive Eddy, has nothing but bloopers to share these days.I wouldn't just ask you to fill these in without doing so myself. I'm not promising any semblance of great answers, but here you go nonetheless.
1. The best teacher I ever had was my university astronomy professor.
(Astronomy was just an elective I took during my junior and senior years in college, to help me reach the required number of course hours while I made the final touches on my degree. Little did I know, though, that I had found a hidden gem of a professor. He absolutely loved what he did, and it showed. He was the epitome of a teacher who truly loved to teach. Thanks to him, I now have a keen interest in the sky above, and the stars and planets and galaxies it houses.)

2. The worst teacher I ever had was a grade school computer teacher.
(I don't want to bash this particular teacher of my past at length, so I'll just suffice it to say that she is one of the reasons I dislike working with computers still to this day.)

3. I recently learned how to keep Thimble from snacking on my laptop.
(My lady cat Thimble won't eat cat treats, or even any delicious human food, but she will try to make a snack out of a computer. She especially enjoys my laptop's top corners, just above the screen. I've recently learned, though, that if I see Thimble approaching, all I have to do is angle the computer screen down, so that the laptop is half-closed, and she'll act like it doesn't exist and will leave it alone. Apparently, laptops are only yummy if they're sitting straight up. I might very well look ridiculous as I stoop over in an attempt to use a half-closed laptop, but at least that spares both the computer and Thimble's teeth.)

4. I think everyone should know how to cook some basic meals.
(I recently met someone my age who said they don't know how to fry eggs or cook chicken. This person admitted that they essentially never make their own meals, because they don't like to and don't know how. I promise I'm not making fun of those who don't like to cook or don't know how to cook. It's simply that I, personally, think it's a good idea to learn at lease some basics of cooking. No one has to be a master chef, and most of us aren't. But, you never know when the simple ability to fry an egg or cook a chicken breast might come in handy. What's more, cooking for yourself at home is often healthier and cheaper than eating out, and I consider that a plus.)
I sure can blabber on and on in my answers, can't I? I should probably remedy that.

Our Doodle of the Day:
I have another doodle today for my angels Rosie and her brother Sammy. This one is in honor of the master skills they had as homework helpers.
Tomorrow is these angels' birthday, so of course our doodle will involve a bit of cake!

Our Tip of the Day:
Today is our last tip relating to those feline vet visits. This tip actually far more of a general one, though. Today's tip is to remember your veterinarians, vet techs, and all of the staff at your vet clinic on special occasions. Whether it be Christmas, Veterinarian Appreciation Day (June 18th), Veterinary Technician Week (the third week of October), or another similar day, do consider sending some appreciation to those at your veterinary clinic. You can send a simple card, some flowers, a basket of goodies, or anything that demonstrates your appreciation for all they've done for your furbaby and yourself. Sometimes, being a veterinarian or veterinary staff member is a thankless job, or one that is forgotten in the shuffle. So, if you appreciate what your veterinary clinic has done for any and all of your furbabies, then do consider being one of those grateful customers who expresses their appreciation.

Your asstronomy teacher sounds like a rare gem, and i am so glad you figured out how to keep Thimble from eating a computer. It certainly does not sound nutritious.
As to the cooking, yes, everyone can learn to boil spaghetti and make a quick sauce, or do a couple of similar simple meals, Even if you hate to cook, it’s smart to know a couple of basics.
Eddy seems to enjoy creating those bloopers, doesn’t she?
Nice doodle. Bigger Girl swears Little Girlie, the tabby, was a great homework editor.
Our oldest son had a computer teacher who did not know how to turn off the computer. This was back in the Windows 95 times when you had to click start to shut down the computer. In college, I had two great professors. One was named Kyle. He was a doctor with multiple Ph-Ds, who would not allow us to call him Doctor. He was very good at accounting. Another was Ed. He, too, did not want to be called Doctor.
Both would challenge me. I would give an answer and they would ask a more difficult question as a follow up. Both were outstanding. Have a blessed week.
Blabber on! I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Of course, I'm a blabberer (as this comment will prove!), too, so maybe that's why I don't think it's a problem. haha
I think it is very interesting that Thimble only has interest in your laptop when it is fully open and that she'd want to snack on it in the first place.
I love astronomy, sky watching, all that, too. Back in SC, we often sat out to watch as the International Space Station flew overhead. It was awesome!
I agree with you about cooking. We never know when we are going to have to do it, so it is good to know the basics. I'm no pro at egg frying, so I don't usually do it. I'm a boiler and a scrambler. But, if pushed to, I can fry an egg that doesn't kill anybody. Even though there are some parts of cooking that I have yet to master, I love cooking and learning how to create new things.
That second shot of Eddy is a riot! I love it!
That is a sweet doodle. Happy birthday to the angel kitties.
Our oldest daughter just started a job at a local vet's office. She's in the trial-run period right now. She has a great friend that is a vet tech. I think it takes a strong person to be a vet. I could never do some of the things they do.
Have a blessed weekend!
I agree about everyone should know how to cook some basic meals.
Mine is that everyone should know how to TYPE. :) Can you guess I was a business teacher? :)
Thanks for the great answers and Friday fun.
Great fill-in answers. We think that the second photo is great. Look at that big smile. Have a wonderful day.
Fun fill-ins this week! We thought the same about #4.....I think people should know some basic cookery too. I guess it would be fun to eat every meal out but I also think it would get OLD quickly! Enjoy your three day weekend...believe it or not we're hoping for some RAIN - relief from the heat.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
AHA! We see that you let your cats write up your homework for you! Eddy, tell you mom to not aim the camera into the light...it totally messes up the focus (something that I do constantly...).
Great answers. Have a great Labor Day weekend!
Great pics of Eddy!TW is one who only knows the basics of cooking cos Gramma didn't want anyone in the kitchen when she cooked. She throws everything in the oven. HAH! We had trouble with the first 2 fill-ins cos TW doesn't remember any of her teachers. Completely blocked out.
Having a terrible teacher stays with you for a lifetime. I don't think some people need to be teaching anyone anything.
Great questions and great answers. I so enjoy Friendly Fill-ins.
Have a fabulous day and long weekend. ♥
This entire post is awesome! Great fill-ins! There just always has to be one of THOSE teachers, doesn't there? Mom blames her strong dislike for Math on one or two or three of those kinds of teachers. And don't get her started on people who don't know how to cook! Our Mom claims she can make a gourmet meal out of used staples and some grass clippings! Beautiful doodle, and thank you for mentioning vets and assistants and everyone in the vet office. It is often a thankless job. As soon as things improve here, Mom says she will send the vet office something to thank them for being there when Sunny and Ruby needed to cross the Bridge. They were so supportive, Mom will never forget that.
We love your post today! Eddy's photo fails are really FUN. :)
We totally agree with your fill in for #4. I'm amazed at how many people are not at all comfortable in the kitchen. I feel blessed that my mom taught me how to cook anything and everything as a child.
Great answers!I wish I had taken an Astronomy class, that sounds fun. It is sad how one bad teacher can cause us to dislike a subject. I agree we should all know how to cook. And Thimble is too funny eating your laptop, but only when opened :) Great photo fails, I forgot to post mine so I will tomorrow. Very cute drawing. And excellent tips, I always bring peanut butter fudge to my vet's office. Have a great weekend! XO
Love your bloopers, Eddy! Adorable art too. Completely agree on #4. I'm no chef, but I'm glad I can handle the basics. I don't know how people can afford to eat out every day! I would much rather spend that money on something else.
Meowza! Thimble and my brother Alberto must be related. The Female Human says it's like having a puppy in the house...he chews on EVERYTHING! It doesn't matter if it's plastic, fabric, fruit, whatever, it all gets fang marked by Al!
Purrs & Head Bonks,
Oliver
Great answers ! Claire totally agrees with you on #4 ! Purrs
