Friendly Fill-Ins

Are you ready to fill in some fill-ins? It is, after all, time for the Friendly Fill-Ins! In case you missed them yesterday, we'll share the fill-in statements below. Ellen of 15andmeowing crafted up the first two, and I came up with the second two.

1. I have faith in _________.

2. Yesterday, I _________.

3. My favorite place to be is _________.

4. If I was granted one wish, it would be _________.

I took a turn myself to fill these in. How did I do?

1. I have faith in the unconditional love of animals.
(My furbabies never have and never will judge me. I am so very grateful for that.)

2. Yesterday, I finally started using my new laptop.
(I got a new laptop something like a month ago. My old laptop's touchpad doesn't work, its battery hasn't held a charge for over a year, and it turns itself off without warning something like half a dozen times a day. For some reason, though, I kept using it despite the fact that I had a brand new one sitting in a box just across the room. That is no longer the case, though, because I had a pretty big argument with my old laptop yesterday and as a result am now finally using the new laptop. I'm actually quite fond of it already.)

3. My favorite place to be is home.
(This answer of mine may be vague, but it's also very true. I love nothing more than to be home. More specifically, I love spending an evening on the couch with my furbabies. I can snuggle them while I blog, doodle, read, write, or binge on Netflix.)

4. If I was granted one wish, it would be that all the homeless would know the comfort of a home.
(I mean this for homeless cats and dogs, for homeless people, and anything and everything in between. My heart breaks for any and every being who lacks the comfort of even the most humble of homes. Being homeless must be such a despairing feeling, and my greatest wish is that not a single creature would have to feel such despair.)

I wish I could say that I coaxed Eddy into snapping a sharp, focused glamour shot to share with you all today. But, alas, I did not succeed at that. Do you want to see the shot Eddy decided to snap instead?

Isn't that such a nice little shot of Eddy? So precious.

We're wishing you all a fabulous Friday!

Our Tip of the Day:

In case you haven't seen our past couple of tips, we're currently in a series all about decorating your home around the furbabies in your life. Today's tip on this topic is to use couch or chair covers, or even just regular blankets, on your furniture. This can help protect the furniture beneath from excess pet hair, as well as from all varieties of accidents that can happen in a home with kitties or pups. We also mentioned in yesterday's tip that you can use furniture covers or blankets to help protect couches and chairs from kitty claw, or even claws of pups. In addition, some cats or dogs might be a bit more on the greasy side, such as Sphynx cats or furbabies with certain ailments, and furniture covers can also help keep couches and chairs clean in this way as well. There are covers designed to fit and protect entire pieces of furniture, or you can simply place a spare blanket on your furbaby's favorite chair or on their favorite part of the couch. Either way, furniture coverings can help protect your couches and chairs from direct damage. Whereas it's not exactly easy to clean an entire chair or couch, if you use a cover, you can easily remove it and throw it in the wash.

I love yawning kitty photos. I got some of Martha earlier. :) Your doodle image is cute, too.

I agree with you about the homeless. It is a very sad situation and made even more sad by cities that have rules against helping the homeless. I hear Houston is such a city. :(

Have a blessed weekend.

It would be wonderful if all the animals were loved and had a place, even if we could leave the wild ones in their places to be at peace.

That was a huge yawn, someone must have been fearfully sleepy!

Great fill-ins! I love your answer to #4--that is a great wish. I guess Eddy isn't so much into glamour shots, is she! :)

Great answers to the fill-ins. I wish #4 would come true. I had the same for #3 :) IO am glad you are enjoying your new laptop. I had the same problem with randomly shutting off because of the battery, but was able to get one on Amazon for $22. Cute shot of Eddy. And adorable drawing. Excellent tip, I have been doing that one for years. :) Have a nice weekend! XO

We love these fill-ins today! And Eddy, always helpful in the photo department. MOL! Great tip of the day. We're "lucky" in that we have a pleather couch and most wipe ups are easier and fur is easily vacuumed up. But certain orange girls took to shredding the arms and sides making Mom plaster those areas with clear packing tape, AND she swears never to buy a new couch again. Maybe she'll spring for a cover, though.

I love being home too.

I love your answer to #4. I wish that too.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥

Eddy, such nice teefs you have! Cute doodle!
I have an old wool sweater on Angel's favorite chair, and it's so covered in her fur that I'm afraid the sweater will never be worn by a human ever again!

Oh, the drawing is super-cute! <3

Your number four is spot on. No one should be homeless. It is sad to see animals without a home. It is sad to see people without a home. When we see veterans that are homeless, that makes our blood boil. Have a blessed week.

TW always uses throws on the couch and chair not that she needs to now that Nicky is gone.
1. I have faith in the Codd Mother and Capo Tuna.
2. Yesterday, I forgot to recharge the batteries and they ran out.
3. My favorite place to be is my cube.
4. If I was granted one wish, it would be a much bigger condo with a catio and everything.

Yawning kitty photos are always the best. We love your great fill-in answers. We love to be home too after a long day at work. Just relaxing with our little fur babies also. Plus we get to see them all day at the office too. Thanks for the share. Have a great weekend.

So many people look for happiness outside of their homes – when all the best is right under their noses. I’d rather be at home with my cats too.

Looks as if Eddy was telling you to leave her alone! You answers are purrfect. Mom totally agrees with numbers 1, 3 and 4. If she had a new laptop; though, she'd be all over it. When her trackpad died, she only made it two days and only because she had to wait for the computer repair store to open. Have a great weekend.
