Mancat Monday

Monday mornings sure can be tough. For mancat Evan, Monday morning means having to listen to the cacophony that is his mom's alarm clock. Is there anything worse than being woken up like that?

Evan's not an early bird. He likes to sleep, and he likes to sleep in as long as possible. What's more, Evan likes to cuddle this mom of his in bed (the feeling is mutual). Monday mornings, therefore, are far from Evan's favorite thing in the world.

Are Monday mornings a tough one at your house? Either way, we hope this Monday is a magnificent one for you!

Our Tip of the Day:

The mixture of cold air outside and dry heat inside during the winter months can lead to skin that is dry, itchy, and flaky. For this reason, it could very well be a good idea to keep a humidifier going in your house, to keep the air and your furbaby's fur and coat as moist and comfortable as possible. Do be sure to keep in mind your kitty or pup's activity level and favorite areas to play or run when placing the humidifier, though, in order to avoid spills and other risks that might come with a humidifier. In a strategic, safe, and secure place, though, a humidifier can help keep the air moist and a cat or dog free of the discomfort of dry skin and coat.

It's also worth it to note that another way to reduce your furbaby's dryness and itchiness in the winter is to minimize or eliminate baths, as well as to dry them off when they come indoors and are wet with snow or rain. Brushing them regularly can also stimulate the natural oils of their skin, which can further help keep their fur and skin from drying out. If you do notice your kitty or pup's skin and coat is dry and itchy during the winter, and especially if you cannot get an easy handle on it, you can certainly discuss the issue and further solutions with your veterinarian.

Mondays are always tough here, too, Evan. Except for when Mom and Dad don't have to go to work (like today). :)

I love the new header. Evan is such a cutie. He sounds like Joanie with the cuddling in bed with his mom. Very cute drawing and excellent tips. I have been saying a lot of our cats look like stegosauruses with the fur on their back up from static. I will have to get a humidifier running. Have a great week! :)

Evan, Angel is our alarm clock...she knows when it's exactly one hour BEFORE alarm time, and she starts meowing.

We are retired so we don't have to deal with the alarm clock during the week. We are ever so happy about that.

Have a purrfect Mancat Monday. My best to your mom. ♥

Cody is pretty much up at 3am every single day......(I sleep through his meowing/whining) but God love my husband, he gets up (and stays up) and feeds Cody and Dakota early

Happy Mancat Monday Evan. You have the same look on your face as we do when it's Monday morning and the alarm clock is going off. Plus with it being so cold outside today it was even worse. Hope you were able to catch up on some zzzz's. Have a wonderful day.

We couldn't agree with you more, Evan, but we think all mornings stink! There's no worse sound than that of an alarm clock.

Any morning that requires work is not the best morning, there is never enough sleeping done.

My Mom is up early - like 3AM-ish - so I'm one happy boy. I get an early breakfast then while I curl back up to snooze, Mom catches up on the computer and the news and stuff. Everyone gets into a routine and I say as long as there's food and nap time - let the humans do whatever they want to do right Evan?

Hugs, Teddy

Our Mom gets up early since there are so many hungry felines around here. Good to see you Evan.
