Our Tip of the Day:
We'll start simple and remind you all that heartworms come from mosquitoes, and a dog or cat can become infected if they are bit by a mosquito carrying larvae. This can occur in either indoor or outdoor furbabies. For indoor animals, you can try to keep all windows and doors closed, in hopes to prevent mosquito entry into the house. However, they can enter through cracks, or simply when you open the door. What’s more, it is possible for mosquitoes to be out and about year round, even in the winter. For this reason, our first, very significant tip is to simply ensure that you keep your dogs and cats on preventatives that include heartworm coverage, and that you do this year round.

Good to see you Astrid. Love the doodle. So are you off to play a little tennis, Astrid??
So good to see you today, Astrid!
Seriously adorable doodle!
Sweet Astrid, you are a doll today precious. Love the doodle!
Do you have another pair for the front paws? And are your tennis balls red?
Nice to see Astrid in her usual pose, such a cutie. I like the drawing too. Excellent tips as well. My Sammy tested positive for heartworm so it can happen to indoor cats. Luckily he didn't seem to have any breeding in him.
Astrid I think your post today made up for not being in on April. Love those sneakers
That's such a blissful look, Astrid!
It’s great to see Astrid in the window, and i was told there are no heartworm preventives for cats, just as there aren’t for people, but that cats and people simply aren’t good vectors for heartworms and usually don’t come down with it. Will have to research that.
We always love seeing you, sweet Astrid. And we think you look fab in those red sneaks! XO
