A Super Sunny Sunday Selfie

Evan was joined by a co-star for his selfie today. Who, exactly, is this co-star we speak of? It's the sun, of course, blinding us all with its rays of light.

Evan was too cozy sunbathing to move for a better shot, so he hopes you all don't mind how bright and shiny he is in today's selfie. Evan and all of us here are wishing you lots of sunshine and sun puddles! Don't go blind, though, like you probably already did when viewing Evan's selfie up there.

Halloween Doodle of the Day

This time of year, I really enjoy watching spooky, scary, and all shades of Halloween movies. I don't know how surprising this fact will be or not, but one of my favorite Halloween movies is in fact the original Halloween, I think in large part because it's set on Halloween and simply has all those Halloween vibes. Perhaps that's why I thought it would be fun to create a doodle inspired by Halloween. Of course, though, I tried to put a fun and feline twist on it.

Forget Michael Myers. It's all about Mikitty Myers now. Good grief, that was corny.

In other news, don't worry, because that kitty I scribbled up is simply trick-or-treating all in good fun. No mass murders occurred as a result of the doodle above.

Halloween Tip of the Day

Yesterday's Halloween tip was the obvious recommendation to keep candy away from your furbaby, since chocolate and other such goodies are indeed toxic to kitties and pups. Today, we're going a tad bit further and reminding you that even the inedible parts and pieces of candy can pose a risk to our furbabies. We're referring to candy wrappers, sucker sticks, and other candy-related bits and bobs. These remnants of a scrumptious piece of candy can smell and taste good to a pup or kitty, and might therefore end up in their mouth. If ingested, wrappers, sucker sticks, and the like could result in gastrointestinal distress or more serious bowel obstruction or perforation. So, needless to say, don't only keep candy out of your furbaby's reach, but also wrappers and other leftovers after the candy itself is gone. Put any trash left behind by candy in a secure trash can where you kitty or pup cannot get to it, in order to keep your furbaby happy and healthy.

Evan in sunshine is very handsome! The doodle is funny - not a mass murderer unless you are a mouse! Have a wonderful week.

That is a lovely shot from Evan, and we especially like the arc of light hanging magically between his whiskers.

The sun likes to hide these days, so enjoying some sunshine is the only way to go!
