1. Peanut butter and chocolate go hand in hand.
(Can you guess what one of my favorite candies is?)

2. My furbabies make(s) my heart happy.
(My kitties and pup make me happier than anything else in this world. They are my best friends, and the best medicine I have.)

3. Don't be afraid to speak up for yourself.
(In some cases, I can be a real pushover. Sometimes, even if I don't want to or don't truly have time do a certain task or favor for someone, I'll say yes nonetheless. This can happen with family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and of course my boss. Obviously, it is good to be nice and helpful to others, and to have a good work ethic, but sometimes you simply have to say "no" in order to take care of yourself. That's something I'm working on this year.)

4. If bringing about the early demise of a cell phone was a sport, I would win hands down.
(I have drowned my various cell phones in toilets, dropped them in sinks filled with water, shattered them on the ground in parking lots, and exploded them to pieces in the baking aisle of the grocery store. Sometimes, my cell phone or some of its features simply stop working for no apparent reason. Needless to say, I buy only cheap cell phones for myself. I am why I can't have nice things.)
Today isn't even the official day of bloopers, but guess what we have for you today anyway? Bloopers from blooper queen Eddy herself! Why? Because Eddy refused to sit still and give me anything but bloopers.
Happy Friday, friends!
Especially if you live in an area prone to snow, ice, wind, and other wintry goodness, do be sure to think ahead and plan for any related emergencies. For example, should a blizzard be expected to blow through and potentially leave you snowed in, ensure that, prior to the winter storm, you stock up on your furbaby's food, medications, and other necessities. Another potential winter weather emergency includes power outages. One thing to help combat that is of a course a generator. If you have a generator, do be sure to have it checked as needed, to ensure its functionality and safety. Not everyone can or does have a generator, though, and in this case, make sure you take other precautions to prep for potential power outages in the winter. Again, of course, make sure you are stocked up on your kitty or pup's food, medications, and so forth. Also have blankets at the ready. If you have a fireplace, have it regularly checked, cleaned, and rendered safe for use. A fireplace can of course be perfect source of heat in the event of a power outage, but it should be checked for safety, and should of course also be set up so that no furbabies can reach or be injured by the fire. Also, if there are safe places to put them well out of the reach of furbabies, candles being lit throughout the house could also potentially lend a bit of heat.
In some cases, especially in the event of lengthy power outages, it may be necessary to find a warm place to stay away from your powerless, cold home. If this is the case, ensure that you again have food, medications, and all necessities properly prepared for your kitty or pup. Then, of course, it is crucial to find somewhere that is pet-friendly for your furbaby to stay. This could be a hotel that is pet-friendly, or a family or friend's home where your furbaby is allowed, and that is also a pet-safe home. If necessary, such as if you cannot find a hotel or home that is pet-friendly for the duration of your home's power outage, you could also look into a pet boarding facility that you trust, and that of course has power and heat. During the winter months, snow, ice, and wind can wreak all sorts of havoc, so do be sure to consider how this could affect your furbaby, and have plans in the event of potential winter emergencies.

Great answers. I picked jelly with peanut butter but I like your answer better.
Have a great weekend!
Eddy, you are keeping it real!
May I suggest a heavy-duty cell phone case, one that will cushion the blow? Or, maybe you are one of those people who cause electronic devices to stop working: cell phones, computers, copier machines. I had a co-worker who couldn't wear watches, and a lot of things on her car dashboard didn't work. She brought down office machines left and right, so I used to fax and copy and print things for her, just to keep the place running!
I totally agree with #1. They do go together very nicely.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches to your kitties and pup. ♥
Definitely chocolate and peanut butter teaming up. YUM!!
LOL on your cell phone answer.
I will take a stab at guessing because Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are my favorite candy. :)Is that your favorite candy, or Reeses's Pieces?
I think sometimes, most times even, we women are expected to just do what everyone else wants or needs us to do, whether it is good for us or not. And, if we don't do it, then we're seen as selfish, even when we're just trying to take care of ourselves in this whole mess called 'life', too. It's like sometimes other folks don't consider the possibility that we might possibly be humans, too!
Your cell phone response made me snicker. One of our daughters has sent her phone out to sea, too. One of hers got a smashed screen (still worked though) at a college football game. The people were told not to rush the field, so what did they do? They rushed the field. She was staying where she was supposed to stay, but got run all over by the folks going onto the field. She dropped her phone and it got trampled in all the chaos.
Great bloopers, Eddy. :)
That is a cool doodle! I love the curl of the kitty's tail.
Those are good tips. It's a winter emergency around here for the natives if it gets below 70°F. haha I pretty much PRAY for a blizzard or at least real snow that doesn't melt mid-air. :)
Have a blessed weekend!
My Aunt E didn't particularly like the peanut butter cups, but she adored the egg version at Easter. Every time i think of peanut butter and chocolate, i think of those eggs and how much she loved them.
Eddy is a beautiful blooper queen, and i really like your scientific cat.
Great answers, and #3 is definitely a challenge for me too!
Great answers, especially to #2 :) Good luck with #3, it took me years to learn to say no. And the cell phone story was funny. Eddy is adorable, great shots of her. Cute drawing and excellent tips too. Have a wonderful weekend! XO
Someone likes Reeses. Dunno who though. TW has learned to pick her battles. She used to fight with store clerks about every last dime. This week she called her doctor over a penny he charged for her free flu shot. MOL! I love Eddy's spunkiness. Don't want to see a magician make snow. Don't want to see snow. MOL!
You had me at peanut butter and chocolate ;) Have you seen those copycat recipes that use graham crackers and peanut butter for the filling? I've always wondered if they taste even remotely similar.
That learning to say, "no," is something I had lots of trouble with most of my life. Before you open your mouth to answer, ask yourself if it is something you REALLY WANT to do. If you answer anything but a resounding,"yes," say, "no." Sounds too easy, but it actually works. We love bloopers. Thanks, Eddy! Great Fill-Ins and cute pics!
