First, I apologize again if some of our posts this week are going up late. I'm still fighting some battles with my WiFi at home, so much so that I sometimes have to wait until I get to work in the morning to publish our posts using the WiFi there. Technology and I are currently at odds, but that's nothing new. Anyway, now we'll finally get to today's post.
As always, we're happy to participate in Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
P.S. As we mentioned last week, while we participate in the A to Z Challenge during the month of April, our usual poems for Angel Sammy's Thoroughly Poetic Thursday challenge will be posted on Sundays.
Did you know that Stephen King's novel Pet Sematary was based on actual events in his life? Prior to writing that novel, King, his wife, and their children had moved to a new home on a busy road. Unfortunately, many local pets lost their lives on that busy road, and so a pet cemetery had been set up in a nearby wooded area. The cat of King's daughter sadly passed away after being hit on that road, and they buried the cat in the nearby pet cemetery. Though it's a very sad course of events, this time in Stephen King's life was nevertheless one of the main inspirations for his novel Pet Sematary.
