A Birthday on Thankful Thimble Thursday...and the Letter M

EDIT: I am a terrible mother and somehow initially forgot to wish my boy Evan a happy birthday in our post today. What on earth is wrong with me? So...

Happy 8th birthday to my sweet Evan, the best momma's boy ever!

Grab some cake, friends, and join Evan in celebrating his birthday!

It's a good day to be thankful, don't you think? And, thanks to Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, it's easy to do just that.

We're of course thankful for amazing orange boy Evan, and for all of you. As always, though, Thimble wanted to share her very own gratitude.

Today, Thimble is thankful for sunshine, and for her disproportionately large ears, of which she is very proud.

We're also thankful for the fun April A to Z Challenge.

Our theme of halfway to Halloween, or Halfoween, is going as weirdly as expected, and I'm quite enjoying it. Today's letter is M, and that of course stands for mummy.

Last but not least, let's share the statements for tomorrow's Friendly Fill-Ins challenge. My co-host Ellen of 15andmeowing is the mastermind behind the first two, and I came up with the second two.

1. I wish I knew how to play _________.

2. If offered a free trip to space, I would _________.

3. _________ is the most exciting thing in my life right now.

4. I could give a long lecture on the topic of _________.

We'll se you tomorrow, friends!

Tip of the Day

Today's tip, inspired by the mummy in our doodle above, relates to wounds and bandages. If your kitty or pup has a significant cut or other wound, never hesitate to have it seen by a veterinarian. This is of course for a variety of reasons, including the need to properly clean, medicate, and bandage a wound. Some wounds may not require bandaging, such as depending on its severity or location. If your furbaby has a wound that your veterinarian does bandage, though, make sure you understand at-home care for the wound. A veterinarian will of course be able to tell you if any medications are required for your kitty or pup's wound to heal. In addition, a veterinarian can tell you how often the bandage needs changed in order to insure the wound heals, but in an environment that is moist enough but also not too moist for proper healing. All in all, as you all certainly know, should your furbaby find themselves with any sort of open or otherwise significant wound, never hesitate to contact a veterinarian to have it properly tended.
