Tonks Tuesday and the Letter E

Today is Tonks Tuesday, and the pretty little calico is enjoying the sunshine.

She's not really enjoying this mom of hers shoving the camera in her face, but I couldn't help myself.

Today is also another day of the April A to Z Challenge.

Like the broken record that I am, I'm going to remind you that our theme is Halfoween. Not Halloween, but Halfoween. This is because April is halfway to October, so halfway to Halloween. Since I love Halloween, I'm all for that, which means that our A to Z doodles are all spooky springtime ones.

Now, today we've reached the letter E. And what does E stand for? It stands for Eek! If you ask me, nothing says Eek! more than spiders.

Tip of the Day

Today's tip is one that you all probably already know, and it relates to the fact that two of the most commonly found poisonous spiders are the black widow spider and the brown recluse spider. These two are certainly not the only dangerous or even deadly spiders in existence, but they are two that are most commonly seen. Of these two, the black widow is perhaps the more dangerous. This is because a bite from a brown recluse can indeed cause injury to the affected skin or limb, and in severe cases may even require amputation. As for a bite from the black widow spider, though, this can cause damage to the neurological system, which could in turn lead to especially serious side effects, including death. These two spiders are harmful to many species, including cats, dogs, and humans. That being said, keep your kitties and pups away from any and all spiders you are not certain to be harmless. Unless you're familiar with spiders, many of us are not always positive of what type of spider we're looking at when we see one. If this is the case for yourself, simply keep your kitty or pup away from a spider if you see it. It never hurts to err on the side of caution when it comes to the safety of your furry family.

Normally spiders are certainly EEK, but yours are adorable. Everything about your doodles is adorable, most especially the cat of course.
Hi Tonks! It's lovely to meet you. Our people have always wanted a calico, but haven't had the pleasure of being owned by one yet. They rescue whomever comes their way and the closest we have is a tortie.

Hi Tonks. Even though you did not like it, we're glad Mom got a picture of you. :)

And speaking of your mom, we hope she's having a great birthday!

Oh, spiders! They eat the nasty bugs, so send them outdoors to do their job.

Tonks we wonder if you have those Tasty Spiders at your house or just the drawn ones. Preferably drawn butter MOL. Never an Eek to be seen at our house since Miss Fitz eats them all

Tonks, I don't like the camera shoved in my face either. But that sunshine sure looks good. ~Ernie
