Even housemate Toby decided to join in on this week's sleepy time selfies.
I guess the furbabies around here are all getting their snooze on so as to gear up for their 4th of July festivities tomorrow. Surprisingly, not a single one of them is afraid of fireworks. This past week, our neighborhood has already been lighting up with lots of evening fireworks. My furbabies have pretty much ignored and slept through all of them. Regardless, they'll be kept indoors, safe and sound from the fireworks they care so little about.
Happy Sunday, furiends! Do you have any exciting plans for the 4th of July?
***Our Tip of the Day:
So far, our tips for 4th of July safety have touched on keeping your furbabies indoors, and trying to block out the sight and sound of fireworks by closing window blinds and turning on music or the TV. Today's tips is to, again, go even a step further. How? By distracting your furbaby with some of their favorite things. To help them ignore the fireworks, get out your furbaby's favorite toys, prompt them to play, start a game of fetch. You can also get out their favorite treats and distract them with a little snack. Sometimes putting their mind on something else is all it takes. Moreover, if they can learn to associate fireworks with fun things like toys, then that could potentially help mollify any fear they have of them.
