A Snug and Snoozing Selfie

Evan informed me that I am still in the doghouse (yikes!) for failing to give him his own drawing of the day during the majority of last week. So, in addition to yesterday's post, he's decided to hijack today's post as well. I can't really say no to my momma's boy, and so he of course is the star of our selfie for the Sunday Selfie blog hop, which is hosted by our pals over at The Cat on My Head.

So excited that he didn't have to share this fun day of selfies with any of his furry siblings, Evan sort of missed the mark with his first attempt.

So close, Evan, so close. He tried again, though, but by then he'd simply worn himself out. He hopes you don't mind a snoozie selfie, therefore, because that's what he has to offer today.

Evan's momma here certainly doesn't blame him one bit. Snoozing seems like a perfectly good way to spend a day like today, when Mother Nature is bringing in weather more suitable for the Arctic. So, snuggle in and snooze on, Evan!

We hope all of our furiends out there are staying warm and cozy this weekend. We know winter is in full swing right now, and that many of you are finding yourselves a bit buried by that white stuff, so be safe out there!

Now, I'm going to try my best to continue having a piece of art to share each day. That being said, today I'm sharing with you a drawing I created for my mom as a Christmas gift. It's a good ol' dose of all 7 of her kitties (the orange tabby being one you haven't yet met but soon will!).

A happy Sunday to all!

Our Tip of the Day:
Especially if planning a wintry day out, don't forget to always have a backup plan for the care of your furbabies, such as in the case that a snowstorm hits and you are unable to make it home as planned. Always have someone in mind that you can contact and who would be willing to check in on your furbabies, to ensure that they never go without food and water and other crucial care. Don't forget to always think ahead to all the things that might come in to play. Have your backup caregiver's contact information with you, and have your furbaby's care instructions and important information ready for the caregiver. We of course always prefer and hope for plans to go as expected, but in the case that they do not, such as if you find yourself snowed in away from home, never forget to have a backup plan for you furbaby's care and safety.

love your selfie, Evan! Both of them! It was colder in Dallas, TX than it was in Anchorage Alaska! But it did not last but a couple of days

Kittehs really are the best medicine! I never noticed that Evan seems to have little freckles on his cute little nose before. That's so adorable!

I love your tip of the day. It hits home as we've been hit with SO MUCH SNOW and are expecting more in the coming week. There have been a couple of times when the ride home (I ride a commuter van) has been kinda scary and I worried about what would happen if we got into an accident. Shiver has medication he takes twice a day. Fortunately, my mom has a key to my house so she could get in if she needed to.
