We don't see a whole lot of deer in our yard in reality, living in the city and all. But, a girl can always watch, and wait, and hope for the best. Right, Astrid?

Our Tip of the Day:
Has Spring made its way to you yet? If so, please don't forget to make sure that your furbaby is protected against fleas and other parasites! Of course year round prevention is always recommended, it is especially important in the warmer months, when these pesky critters are especially prevalent. What's more, always make sure to select a preventative that caters to your individual furbaby's situation and health. Most of the monthly topicals that you can simply buy at the pet store, for example, only cover fleas. Think about if that is enough for your pup or kitty, though. If your furbaby is in an area laden with ticks or mosquitoes, keeping in mind that buggers such as mosquitoes can also sneak inside the home, then of course be sure to talk to your veterinarian about getting a prescription for monthly preventatives that cover not only fleas, but also ticks and heart worm, of which mosquitoes are a carrier. And does your furbaby have a history of ear mites? Some topicals even cover this. And how about internal parasites such as tapeworm? All of these are parasites that you should consider when talking to your veterinarian and selecting a preventative to keep your furbaby happy and healthy. So, the moral of this tip is to make sure that your pup or kitty is being properly protected against parasites, any and all that may be posing a risk to them and their health.

Astrid, what a beauty you are ... sure hoping you don't want to chase the deer like Dougie wants to. When he sees them in the yard he goes "crazeee" and becomes Mr. Barksalot!
Such a cute drawing. We sometimes have deer in our yard. They love to come eat the peaches of the tree when there are some. Astrid, you are looking mighty good. Have a great day.
We see those deer here quite a bit...and we never get tired of seeing them.
Great photo! And good tips. We get deer here, though the one field has become so overgrown you have to time your glimpse just right. We also get hundreds of red headed vultures, for some reason. I'm an equal opportunity animal lover, so it's pretty awesome to spot them in flight, called 'kettles' because they look like bubbles in boiling water, or roosting, aptly termed a 'wake'. Happy A to Z Blogging!

Nice shot of Astrid, I want to kiss that nose. Very cute drawing of a deer, every day I try to guess which critter you will be drawing and I am always wrong, I was thinking dinosaur today, but your deer is much cuter. Excellent tip, we had a big flea problem in 2014. We have a lot of deer around which means we always have ticks around too, my hubby had lyme disease 3 times.
TW used to love Spring what with baseball and open windows but now she dreads it cos of my asthma and the fact that her team stinks. HAH! Not my fault. Thanks for the flea reminder. She's gonna have to stop going into the hall with her Hello Kitty slippers cos they make an easy mark for fleas to jump on.
Oh I love that little "Bambi" drawing!! Love it!!

What a cute deer drawing! We do have deer here -- they are a real treat to watch, for sure, pretty Astrid!
Aww...sweet. We love deer, and of course, dogs! Hugs.
