Fill-Ins and Feeding Time

We made it to Friday! One of my favorite parts of Friday is the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by our great furiends at 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader.

These are the fill-ins that our pawesome hosts came up with:
  1. _________ was easier than I expected.
  2. Bucket list: 1. _________ 2. _________ 3. _________
  3. I cannot believe _________.
  4. If I could _________, I would _________.
I tried my hand at brewing up some creative juices, and this was the result:
  1. Moving to a new house with my furbabies was easier than I expected. (When I moved last year, I was so worried that my furbabies would be eternally traumatized. Luckily, I was very wrong. Pup Astrid didn't seem to mind one bit that her house changed up on her. The kitties hid for a bit after moving, but not for too long, and now they love their new house! That made for one happy momma.)
  2. Bucket list:
    1. write a book (I've always loved to write, and I'd love to employ enough self-discipline to sit down and write a book, or two or three.)
    2. turn at least one room of my house into a rustic wall-to-wall library (You know that scene in Beauty and the Beast where Belle's flying around that quaint little library on her wheeled ladder, singing and having the time of her life? That's more or less a life goal of mine.)
    3. visit the cats at Quincy House (Thanks to a wonderful post from just last week over at The Daily Pip, I learned about the Quincy House of the Best Friends animal sanctuary in Utah. At the Quincy House, you can find special needs kitties with various mobility and neurological abnormalities. Perhaps because of my paralyzed boy Evan, I have such a fondness for such animals and would love to meet the brave, beautiful kitties at the Quincy House.)
  3. I cannot believe how cruel some people can be. (It seems like every time I skim through the news, it's chock-full of stories of abuse towards animals, and towards other humans. Sometimes I simply avoid reading or watching the news altogether, because it can be so disheartening. I'll never be able to wrap my head around how some people can feel so much hatred in their hearts, and how they can so easily act on it.)
  4. If I could teleport, I would plan more day trips. (I've mentioned on here before that I'm not much one for vacationing. I don't like to leave home for long periods of time, in large part because I don't like to leave my furbabies, and also simply because I'm a homebody. But, if I could teleport, if I could go anywhere I wanted in the blink of an eye, I would plan regular day trips to places all over the world.)
And now, your weekly Eddy fix! Often, when this active little lady sees the camera, she'll respond by running over to her favorite food bowl and chowing down. That seems like a perfectly legitimate reaction, right?

If I'm lucky, there are times that she'll actually take a break from her snack to give the camera some attention. It usually ends up looking a little something like this:

Thank you, Eddy, for that wonderful shot, which I think will do just fine as our contribution for this month's Pet Blogger Bloopers Round-Up, hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull.

Happy Friday, everybuddy!

Our Tip of the Day:
Remember to always keep in mind a cat's anatomy, as well as each cat's personal preferences, when selecting dishes for them. Cats' whiskers are very sensitive, and so many cats do not like small or deep bowls that bump their whiskers when eating or drinking. And of course some cats will have further personal preferences when it comes to dishes. Some cats prefer not to eat dry food out of metal bowls because of the tinking noises the food makes while they eat. Other cats may show aversion to bowls that have images in them, such as painted ceramics, perhaps simply because they aren't sure of or don't like to see something beneath their food. The important thing is to find a bowl that your cat likes, because they're opinion is what matters most for their eating and drinking habits. Of course, their health matters as well, and for this reason keep in mind that plastic bowls are often not ideal, especially for water, as they are more likely to harbor microbes that can lead to issues such as feline acne.

I think your library idea is great! I would love one of those ladders to zip around the stacks with, too. It looks like so much fun. :)

I'm glad your furbabies adjusted fine to the move and seem to like their new home. Have a blessed day!

Glad to hear all the babies moved okay. When we moved out to Texas, we moved four cats and one dog with us. No one really seemed to mind. The black male found a favorite window he loved to sun himself in. This is Texas, so it is a wonder he did not cook himself.
Have a great week.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, you always have great answers. I wish I could teleport too because I always like to be home at night with my kitties. I love the library idea and I am sure you can write a book you just need to set aside little time every day and work on it. I avoid the news most of the time too, it is depressing to see so much violence. Have a nice weekend.

Great answers.... As I was reading #3, the news was telling about the horrible situation in Dallas. What is our world coming to?!?

We love your fill-ins. I have always wanted to go to the Best Friends Shelter. They do such good work. I am a big stay at home person simply because it is really hard to find someone to take care of all these critters. Have a great day.

Love your answers. I love your library idea. That would be pretty neat. I woke up to the news this morning and I couldn't believe why people have to be like this. My thoughts and prayers are with the families today. Hope you have a great day and week.

Quincy House is on my bucket list too! And that last blooper picture is adorable :)

Excellent fill in responses. Though we never have moved, the mom has moved with cats in the past and it was easier than she thought it would be. Even when one of the cats had had major surgery just before the move.

Your answers are really great. #3 really hurts me. I agonize over that one.
Have a great weekend. Thank you for being part of Friendly Fill-Ins. Hugs.

I LOVE your library idea! That scene in BATB is my favourite scene -- likeI would have married Beast on the spot for giving me books! LOL
Summer time day trips would definitely be easier with 3 kids if we could just teleport.
