We're feeling pretty festive today. Why? Because, with Thanksgiving said and done, it's all about Christmas these days. Our tree is up, our halls are decked, and the Christmas music is playing nonstop.
That all being said, of course we had to go festive for today's doodle. Then again, you'll probably be seeing lots of Christmas doodles from us these days.
Ten Days of Tortie: Day 7
This festive doodle is of course our entry into Athena's Caturday Art blog hop.
Have a beautiful day!
Our Tip of the Day:
Continuing on with our tips for National Pet Diabetes Awareness Month, today we're here to say that, of course, always give insulin and other treatments as discussed with your veterinarian. The amount, frequency, and timing of insulin administered to a diabetic furbaby is very important for getting blood glucose under control. For this reason, be sure that you understand how to administer the insulin, which is injected beneath the skin, and have your veterinarian give explanations and demonstrations as needed. Also make sure that you understand the proper storage and preparation of insulin. In most cases, insulin needs to be refrigerated, and before administration it is often suggested that the bottle of insulin be rolled between the hands in order to prepare it for administration. Then there is also the important step of pulling up the insulin into the syringe for administration. If you have any questions or concerns with any of these steps, never hesitate to ask your veterinarian. And, of course, immediately let your veterinarian know if you notice any changes in behavior that might indicate that an adjustment to the insulin dosage is needed. Keep a close eye on your diabetic kitty or pup's water intake, eating habits, bathroom habits, activity level, and other such factors, as all of these can be affected by either high or low blood glucose levels. You know your furbaby best and spend the most time with them, so do be sure to keep a close on them and inform your veterinarian of any concerns you have.
The artwork is really cute.
Love the doodle. It is fun to get started on Christmas. So have a fun Saturday.
Ohhhhh I did miss visiting your blog and seeing all the wonderful doodles! Happy Ten Days of Tortie!
A tortie in a gift box--nothing could be better! :)
I love Christmas too. We don't decorate anymore because we're too old, but it's wonderful to see what others do.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
That is a lovely doodle to get us in the mood for Christmas.
What a lovely doodle ! Purrs
Here's hoping those snowflakes in the doodle are only there for artistic value, rather than a copy of real life!
That is a very cute doodle :) And excellent tips that I hope to never need.
We love your doodle! It's so festive. We don't have our tree up yet. In fact, the peeps just ordered a new one and it's supposed to be delivered this week.
I'd love to find a(nother) tortie under my tree on Christmas morning!
Cute drawing! Is ten days of tuxies coming up? Heh. We get a real tree and it's not coming for a few weeks. TW is getting all upset cos she read real trees have all kinds of bugs.
Cute! We wait until December 1 to decorate - mainly cuz momma's birthday are tomorrow and she likes her birthday THEN Christmas. MOL!
Our tree is up too. Mommy says she will put the decorations on slowly - she figures that if she does that, I won't trash the tree...
Me...I'm thinking about it!
We love your art!

(Sigh) Mommy hasn't event thought about decorating for Christmas. We love your Tortie Days
I'm wondering if we are even going to have a tree this year. We have a nine foot artificial tree, but the new house has seven foot ceilings :)
