1. A past event that I would like to see in person is _________.
2. If I were a dog, my breed would be _________.
3. If I came with a warning label, it would say the following: _________.
4. I would want to take _________ with me to a deserted island.
As always, here's how I fared. My answers are in bold (and are of course accompanied by my usual ramblings).
1. A past event that I would like to see in person is when J.R.R. Tolkien wrote The Hobbit.
(This probably seems really random, doesn't it? In truth, though, The Hobbit means a lot to me. I've mentioned it here on our blog a few times. I am a huge fan of books and reading, and my favorite genre is fantasy. I'm sure this is in no small part because my dad is an avid reader of the fantasy genre, and The Hobbit is one of the first books I remember him reading to me as a bedtime story when I was a little girl. I even grew up with a map of Tolkien's Middle-earth in my playroom. I still enjoy The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings, very, very much.)
2. If I were a dog, my breed would be the magnificent mutt.
(I'm pretty sure I'd be the farthest thing from a purebred, and I'm totally fine with that. Besides, my pup Astrid is a mutt, and I'm quite fond of her. So, I'd follow in her footsteps and be a proud mutt.)
3. If I came with a warning label, it would say the following: BEWARE! CHRONICALLY COVERED IN CAT HAIR.
(I really don't mind being covered in cat hair. That's probably why I don't even try that hard anymore to take the lint roller to my clothes. I used to carry a lint roller with me everywhere, and now I'm just like, "Eh, a little cat hair never killed anyone." That's not a great thing for me to think, though, because one of my neighbors actually has a pretty severe allergy to cats, and it's legit. That man will blow up like a balloon. He's a really nice guy with a wife who loves animals, as well as three little kids who love waving at the cats they always see in my front door and windows. As for him, though, he'll just have to heed the warning label and keep a safe distance.)
4. I would want to take a ship and its crew with me to a deserted island.
(How else would I get off the island after my little adventure? Other things I would consider taking are of course my furbabies, books, and other wonderful stuff like that. But, I ultimately decided on taking with me an easy way out instead. I guess I could take a private airplane with me, but flying is something I've never done and hope to never do. So, I'll stick with the ship and its crew.)

It's getting pretty darn warm outside to have the windows open too often or too long, but a certain lady cat around here insists.
Eddy gets what Eddy wants. Obviously.
How's the weather in your corner of the world? Is it hot? Are there window whiffies going on? We hope Mother Nature is treating you kindly!
Doodle of the Day:
Yet another random doodle for a challenge I'm doing with a small group of writers. My calico angel Rosie is indeed going to appear in all of these. I've been drawing her a lot lately, and it makes me so happy to do so.
Did you know?
Did you know that study findings from 2013 indicate that domestic house cats share 95.6% of their genome (DNA) with tigers? The tiger and domestic cat lines diverged nearly 11 million years ago, yet they still maintain significantly similar DNA. Perhaps this helps explain why our own kitties display more than a few physical and behavioral characteristics that resemble those of tigers in the wild.
