Did you know?
Did you know that an estimated 300 trained search-and-rescue dogs were present at Ground Zero following the September 11 attacks? Did you know that the last person found alive at Ground Zero, roughly 27 hours after the towers collapsed, was found by a search-and-rescue dog? There were also therapy dogs present, offering comfort to anyone who might need it at Ground Zero. Sadly, both human and companion animal lives were lost as a result of the September 11 attacks, but they shall all be remembered.

We honor the people and dogs who found some survivors...
And we honor our beloved animals who did so much on that day.
Animals as usual played a significant role during 9/11....offering comfort as well as rescuing survivors, locating victims. We will never forget 9/11 mostly because we were out of the country when it happened and wanted more than ever in our lives to BE HOME SWEET HOME.
Hugs, Pam
We will never forget those that lost their lives on this day 18 years ago...and we salute all those that helped that day...including those with 4 legs.
We will never forget.
We will never forget this day. We were so saddened by this. How anyone could do this is beyond me. God bless those that worked so hard to rescue those they could.
Have a blessed day. ♥
We can't/won't ever forget. Everyday we read about another first responder who is sick. Thank you for the post and the doodles.
We can never, ever forget this day.
It's all still so sad to think about, it's another of those days that will live in infamy.
We will never, ever forget. We are so grateful for all of the rescue heroes of all species that were so brave on that day.
Those are excellent drawings. XO
Wonderful Doodles
