Selfies for the Tooth Fairy

Thimble is incredibly excited to share her selfies today. As some of you might remember, Thimble recently underwent a dental and lost a tooth. The dental is certainly not what Thimble is excited about, though. What she's excited about is that, thanks to amazing and wonderful Ellen of 15andmeowing, the Tooth Fairy sent Thimble some goodies!

That there is Thimble guarding just two of her toys from the Tooth Fairy. She got a couple more toys, but her kitty siblings dove in and stole them before she could snap a selfie with them. That's why Thimble is guarding those two so closely.

In case you were wondering, Thimble was already good and nipped out on those toys when these selfies were snapped. These are more like aftermath selfies, you could say. Thimble apologizes, therefore, if she looks like she wasn't seeing quite straight in these selfies. Because she wasn't.

Of course, Thimble is sharing these selfies for the Tooth Fairy as part the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, hosted by the Kitties Blue over at The Cat on My Head.

Thimble and this mom of hers here are sending our purrs and thanks to Ellen! Thank you, Tooth Fairy!

Doodle of the Day

Here's another hectic autumn doodle.

Did you know?
Did you know that cats have 26 baby teeth and 30 permanent adult teeth? Dogs have 28 baby teeth and 42 permanent adult teeth. As for us humans, we have 20 baby teeth and 32 permanent adult teeth. Like us humans, cats and dogs are born without teeth, they grow in baby teeth at a young age, and then they lose those baby teeth so as to make room for their permanent adult teeth. The timeline of this is of course accelerated in cats and dogs when compared to humans, though. The baby teeth of cats and dogs grow in when they're a couple weeks old, and they lose baby teeth when they are a couple to a few months old.

We're glad all went well with your dental, Thimble. It was worth losing a tooth so you could get those great toys from the Tooth Fairy.

Thimble, i am glad you got a tooth fairy gift, it's not easy to lose an adult tooth.

If those are pie pumpkins in the doodle, the owner of the home needs to start baking!

I am so happy to see Thimble enjoying her toys. Thanks for the shout out :) That is a great drawing. And I did not realize that is how many teeth a cat has.

Paws up for Miss Ellen and her wonderful treats and toys.
Thimble does have a slightly cross-eyed look about her but we just thought that was being perturbed at having to share; now we know the truth, MOL.
